Indiana_GOlf_AssocCOLUMBUS – Due to inclement weather, the second round of the IWGA Championship at Otter Creek was cancelled.  The intended 36-hole event was cut to 18-holes.  12 players completed their rounds last night, while the remainder of the field finished this afternoon.

Amanda Detmer, Madison, posted the low round last night, carding a 1-under-par, 71.  She led the field until early this afternoon, when defending champion Anna Wilcoxson, South Bend, also posted 71 finishing in a tie for the title.

Detmer and Wilcoxson faced one another in a playoff, and it was Wilcoxson who came out on top, winning the event on their second playoff hole.

This is the second IWGA win for the rising sophomore at Western Michigan University.

Julia Potter, Indianapolis, and Samantha Hatter, Lafayette, finished in a tie for third carding even-par, 72s. Katie Sharp of Kendallville tied for fifth with a 74 and Jackie Mullin of South Bend was 29th with an 89 to round out area golfers.
